My latest bodies of work, mixed-media paintings on canvas and works on paper, have been created within the last two years in my Nyack studio where I currently live and work.

My work is an intuitive journey. My drive to seek truth in my relationships and place in the world inspires my urge and discovery in my art making, the emotion that greets it – whether conscious or unconscious – and then builds through the interplay of media and materials.

I like how lines, shapes, colors, textures and representational imagery can be both connected and independent, how there are multiple identities being made, and how this builds the work. The work moves when these identities collide. This is how life is. Stories everywhere.

I use acrylic, oil stick, soft pastel, graphite, transfers and collage to create this feeling and depth in my work.
